PSHB Program 2025—APWU Heath Plan is making preparations to cover both Postal and Federal employees and retirees!
New for 2025!
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has announced that APWU Health Plan is approved to participate in the upcoming PSHB Program. Benefits and rate negotiations will take place over the summer.
Review plans and make a selection during Open Season
PSHB plan coverage begins January 1, 2025, and Postal Service employees and annuitants can enroll during the Federal Benefits Open Season from November 11 – December 9, 2024.
Automatic enrollment in Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB)
OPM is working to make the transition to PSHB as simple as possible by automatically enrolling Postal Service members into a PSHB plan based on their current FEHB enrollment.

Postal Service enrollees always have the right to choose a PSHB plan during Open Season, which will run November 11 – December 9, 2024.
New for 2025: Medicare prescription drug coverage for postal retirees
As a Medicare-eligible postal retiree enrolled in the APWU Health Plan 2025 Consumer Driven Option, you will automatically be enrolled in the MedicareRx Part D prescription drug plan (PDP) as part of the Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Program.
