Make the most of your Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Program benefits.
As an active postal worker, there are two times you can enroll in APWU Health Plan:
Enroll by mail: Download and complete the health benefits election form (SF 2809) and send certified with tracking to:

Enroll by fax: Send your completed form to 1-651-456-6610.
As a PSE, after one year of service, when you enroll in the Consumer Driven Option, the U.S. Postal Service pays 75% of the premium. With other plans, you would pay 100% of the premium.
Enroll online: Sign up for your new plan through LiteBlue .

If applicable, please include your current FEHB insurance code (from your paystub or LiteBlue) in Part B and your new PSHB code in Part C. (Note that the form heading incorrectly says, FEHB Plan.)

Congratulations on your new position with the U.S. Postal Service. Whether you’re a career employee or postal support employee, APWU Health Plan offers affordable, comprehensive coverage to protect your health.
If you leave the Postal Service—or lose coverage because you no longer qualify as a family member—you may be eligible for temporary continuation of coverage (TCC).

Buy coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace
Depending on your income, you could be eligible for a tax credit that lowers your monthly premiums. Visit the Health Insurance Marketplace to compare plans and see what your premium, deductible, and out-of-pocket costs would be before you decide to enroll.
If you qualify for coverage under another group health plan (such as your spouse’s plan), you may be able to enroll in that plan, as long as you apply within 30 days of losing PSHB Program coverage.

The Health Plan will be closed on Wednesday, January 1. We will reopen at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday, January 2.
