Medicare PDP for Postal Service retirees
As a postal retiree and APWU Health Plan member, if you choose not to enroll in our Medicare Advantage plan, we will automatically enroll you in a Part D prescription drug program (PDP) at no extra cost.
This benefit for PSHB-covered annuitants and family members who are eligible for Medicare provides:
- Same benefits with no additional premium
- Low copays/coinsurance
- $2,000 prescription out-of-pocket maximum
- 4 drug tiers instead of 6
- No drug exclusions
- Home delivery service
- PSHB-regulated benefits

UnitedHealthcare MedicareRx Part D for the Consumer Driven Option
Consumer Driven Option retirees receive Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage at no extra cost through UnitedHealthcare MedicareRx Part D for APWU Health Plan.
Your benefits under this PDP will never be less than your coverage under the PSHB Consumer Driven Option. Participation in the PDP is voluntary, and you can opt out at any time.
